The final cut was completed at the end of January when we began to shop it around. Quite quickly we were invited to hold the World Premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California. That took place just 4 weeks ago, hence the delay in releasing the film, once we had the invite we had to hold off on everything else, which actually meant having to turn down other festivals who had heard about the film, not a bad thing! 

Newport Beach was fantastic. The film went down a storm. There was a great buzz about the film, helped in large part by Variety Magazine calling it one of highly anticipated films of the festival! 

After Newport I flew to Denver, where I screened the film for the Denver Film Society. It was warmly received there and we had a great, and long, Q&A afterwards. I had hoped to screening in Bozeman Montana, but my contact there flaked. Not to worry, I was wrecked by that stage and looking forward to a break. 

I did manage to get a meeting at the film dept. of the Montana State Uni there, which was great. My timing was a little off, they were in the middle of exams and said had I come any other time the could have had me a guest speaker and screened the film! Next time eh! But they are planning on hold a screening for the faculty, so who knows, maybe I'll make it back there.
