140 - 140 - Back on Track!

My apologies for the long absence on this project. If you've kept up to date on my blog you'll know why. If not - well, it's because I was off making another film which took up all my time. That film is nearing completion, so I'm eager to get 140 back on track again.

So I've set a date. June 21st 2009. The longest day of the year! A day which is only 7, yes 7, weeks away.

I still have 88 filmmakers to recruit. I'm sending out press releases to 100s of media outlets worldwide, websites and magazines alike. So hopefully that will attract some ateention and get some filmmakers on board.

Areas of the map that are looking decidedly bare are Europe, Africa, South America, Asia and Russia. 

Lots in the US, UK, Here and Australia.

So if any of you know any filmmakers who might be interested in getting involved, get the word out. Dig out that stack of film festival business cards you've been hanging onto and drop an email, link them to me and hopefully we'll hit the 140 mark before June.

As well as the website that I hope will eventually go up, where I will load the full footage from every filmmaker, I am also planning to have 140 screenings of the film when it's done on the same day in all the location around the world... well, may not be 140 screenings, I figure all us Irish filmmakers could perhaps gather in Dublin for one screening or something, and so on... but it's still going to be a cool event.
