We are still short one major scene that is so very dependent on the weather. Two weeks ago we were standing by on location as the wind and rain tore through our filmmaking souls. Since then we have had to postpone and postpone again and again. The most infuriating thing about being micro budget, part time, independent filmmakers, is the fact that we have to work in alternative jobs to pay the bills. It gets even more infuriating when you're in said job and the weather is ideal for shooting the scene you so desperately need!!!!
We were even planning on showing a rough cut at the Crewger gig on the 22nd of January. But this has been scuppered. Which reminds me....Hey Crewger management, prepare future gigs for this short, but obviously not short enough (25 mins) film.Lol! Trust me it will hold an audience. Its not over indulgent arty farty nonsense. (I think I may have said that in another blog post, but I cannot tolerate over indulgent filmmakers.)Its a humble film with a story thats so so relevent. And oh...did I mention that it has a kick in the head ending?
Anyway, I have personally overseen the design of a dedicated website for the film. This will be live shortly in the hope that if the film gets picked up for a festival or two, then an online resource exists.
