MARIA LAURA RONZONI
Italian songstress Maria Laura Ronzoni is an artist who's not easily categorized. She moves fluidly through the genres of music, poetry and languages. A captivating presence, Maria Laura has been described by Dublin based musician and well known songwriter, Wally Page as having “the most amazing passion in her voice”, which with her impressive and expressive guitar skills, makes her performances electric. Her songs defy the classical boundaries of both tradition and avant-garde in the new multi-cultural context of our contemporary society. With her palpable energy released on stage in her live performances, she is rapidly gaining recognition on the European cultural scene. Listing her musical and literary influences as including Dante Alighieri, Ezra Pound, Fabrizio de André, Bob Dylan and Patti Smith, she unfolds the counterpoint of her own intimate but universal journey. Winner of the Prize “BEST LYRICS” with the song “Per le Strade di Dublino”(Festival “Botteghe d’Autore”-Songwriting context; Salerno –Italy- August 2008). At present involved in a personal project of theatre/songs/poetry and visual arts in collaboration with the painter Paola Catizone, supported by Italian Cultural Institute and C.U.T. -Centro Universitario Teatrale "La Torre" http://www.myspace.com/marialauraronzoni

IDEAL REVIEW E AZIONEGRADOZERO
… Can you simply get up and go away…!!!...???
The audience will assist to an emblematic and ironic act of personal and intimate liberation, a sort of escape. It is an attempt to leave a body, a place: a will to go somewhere else. It is an attempt to fly away, neither melancholy nor mythical.. Leaving upwards, as metaphor of the physical, conceptual and spiritual elevation. It is a possibility to experiment the existence or non- existence, place and time…because of the daily disillusion which arises from the enigmatic, hamletic question “to be or not to be”.
