Make the Most of Crewger.com
At Crewger, we are all about collaborative film making.
Our goal is to provide a platform that will allow for the establishment of a national network of filmmakers working as part of a collaborative community process.
Over the coming months, we intend to update current and launch many additional features that will allow you to successfully build a community around your projects.
For now, we can give you a short tour of a few features as they stand=
Resources (a.k.a. not there yet but getting there) =
The engine of our new site arrives, better late than never. Crewger is all about a community sharing resources and the ‘Resource’s’ section is our first pass at the engine of this community.
Are you an actor with distinguishing features? Do you have a location with a castle, a truck drivers licence, a mini DV camera or a clowns costume? Are you a band with some potential soundtrack music? Do you provide training for new directors? If so – POOL IT!
Build your Portfolio:
For each film that you have made or are currently working on, START A PROJECT
Invite collaborators
Attach them as Cast and Crew
Tweet directly to your project page
Use your Project Blog as marketing tool, a production diary, a showcase for future DVD extras, a teaser and a press release. Inspire us, check out other online production blogs and go one step farther than they ever imagined. REMEMBER - there is a prize for the most unique and inventive online campaign for all our competitions
Write for Crewger – As with everything on Crewger, You Control the Content!
Our hope is that the Featured News section of the site will be a chance for the entire community to comment on current issues in the film industry or report on the new age of digital filmmaking we find ourselves a part. Get in touch with us if you are interested in writing a single article or would like to become a regular contributor.
Competitions Page
The wonderful thing about this new feature is that competitions can be run live on the site, with updates from each project entered feeding onto the individual competition page. AND, multiple competitions can be run on the site at the same time. If you have a competition you would like to run on the site do get in touch and we will set you up in no time.
Videos
Upload Videos, Trailers, Episodes and Production Diaries directly from your project page. The more media you create the more exposure you get.
Forums:
One of the big holes in the old site has now at last been filled. We have divided the forum into the various networks on the site. Debate, discuss, hell fight (why not!?) - I would also advise you to use this as a classifieds section for now.
Remember, we are still in Beta so ‘There Will Be Bugs’.
If you spot any, or would like to give us your two cents, please email: feedback@crewger.ie
