Prizes and Judges

Films will be judged on originality, artistic merit and impact. 

A special prize will be awarded to the filmmakers who demonstrate the most effective use of social networking tools to organise and promote their individual production. Winners in this category will be chosen by the Crewger team.

The Audience Award will be chosen by those attending the official awards night to be held as part of the Abbeyfest 2010 line up, in specially built venue on Saturday, June 12^th.

There will also be a special screening event held in Dublin in July, featuring the best performing artists from this year’s ‘Abbeyfest Music and Arts Festival’.

Last year the Crewger Team collected nearly €1,400 worth of prizes from parties such as Filmbase, GFD Communications Ltd, Film Works and Conns Camera's. We are confident that this years prizes we will almost double that amount.

Last years adjudicators included Kirsten Sheridan, Lenny Abrahamson and Vanessa Gildea. We are currently in negotiation with a number of high profile documentary filmmakers who we hope will act as adjudicators for this years competition.
